Making changes

Maybe I need to reconsider some of my parenting tactics. Tonight for dinner, I negotiated the meal with my son. This may not seem strange, but I was withholding green beans from Cade until he ate more of his grilled cheese sandwhich. Something just didn't seem right when I heard myself say, "If you want more green beans, then you have to take a bite of your sandwhich." What a strange negotiation tactic...most parents have M&M's, marshmallows, etc. Not me, I like to force my child to eat a starch filled grilled cheese rather than allow him to have more of the organic green beans that he is asking for. Maybe I need to make some changes...
