A pumpkin patch of a different kind...

We went with Nana and Papa to OKC to visit the cousins this weekend and decided to take the kids to the 'pumpkin patch'. To say the least, we (meaning the parents, not the kids) were pretty surprised to pull up and see a tractor, a few pins with animals, a haystack, and a fire pit. Since we are used to loading up and arriving to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch right as it opens, to avoid the crowd, we weren't even sure if the Edmond PP was open. We were the only car parked next to the 'garden'. Luckily, the kids had a blast, seeing as to how they could spend as much time as they wanted with each of the 3 farm animals and ride the pony so long they were asking to get off. After a looong hayride around the farm, we ended the day with a very exciting weenie roast with smore's for dessert. So, we left there, somewhat humbled by our initial disappointment but left with lots of pictures and a ton of family fun. It was actually the perfect PP for the kids...
