Cousins Slumber Party

Aunt Sarah invited us for the 1st Annual Back-to-School Cousins Slumber Party!! Madi and Livi had all of the cousins from both sides of the family...Colten, Caitlin, Jackson, Cade, Makynli, and Makenna. We had so MUCH fun!!!!!

Pillowcase Painting: there was paint everywhere but the kids loved making their pillowcases all by themselves!

Dress Up: Tera brought 3 huge bags full of dress-up clothes...prom dresses, costumes, baby clothes, hats, shoes, hair pieces. They each chose 2 different 'outfits' to model for us. Believe it or not there were several boy things...Colten just likes to be a ham and dress like a girl. His dad was mortified:-) Even Livi got to dress up - she wasn't too pumped about her hair piece at first, but then I think she kind of liked it (actually she forgot she was wearing it but it made for some really cute pictures!) Tera kept saying how Makynli looked like Jon Bennet Ramsey...scary!! Super fun!

Movie Night: All the kids got a cup with a movie ticket and 'money'. At the snack bar they could buy their snacks. The sign was color coded (pink money for chocolate and candy; yellow money for popcorn; green money for drinks) so even the little kids could see how much they could buy. It was so cute to watch them...they concentrated very hard to make the right decision! There was a TON of candy, so we had to make sure they only got some if they used their money (which was carefully dispersed - ha!)

Door Hangers: so many choices...all kinds of foam stickers to put on their door hangers

Children's Museum: since it was pouring rain and we couldn't find a movie to go see, we decided to take a little trip over to the Children's Museum. There was almost nobody there, so we practically had the whole thing to ourselves!

Gattiland: our final stop was Gattiland for some pizza and games. I was so surprised that the kids were still going strong considering the amount of sleep they had gotten (only about 7 hrs - approx 4 less than my kids typically get at night!).

Cade loved the shooting games

Makynli blew through her coins in no time...she totally 'gets' how to play the games and spend her money!!
